BULB:
yellowish, unbranched rhizomatous, 22–26 x 38–50 mm.

lanzettlich, 41–127 x 15–36 mm.

FLOWERS: up to 20 in an
umbel; nodding, bell shaped. Tepals revolute, yellow to red from tips/margins to
basis, densely speckled dark red,
32–56 x 13–20 mm; anthers magenta; pollen brown. Capsules 21–37 x 15–21
mm. Flowering time June-July. 2n=24

Blüten:
bis 20 in einer Dolde, nickend,
glockenförmig. Tepalen zurückgeschlagen, gelb bis rot von
Rändern/spitze zur Basis hin, dicht dunkelrot gepunktet, 32–56 x
13–20 mm; Antheren magenta; Pollen braun. Kapseln 21–37 x 15–21 mm. Blütezeit Juni-Juli. 2n=24.

Canada, fresh, grassy areas.

Herkunft:
Nordamerika, Kanada; feuchte, grasige Gebiete.

PECULIARITIES: Closely
related to L. canadense with which it also
rather frequently hybridizes (L. ×pseudograyi Grove) in the southern
Appalachian area.

BESONDERHEITEN: Nahe
verwandt mit L. canadense, mit der sie
in den südlichen Apalachen auch oft hybridisiert (L. ×pseudograyi
Grove).
|
|
CULTURE NOTES: Needs an acid, humus
rich soil with plenty of moisture during growth; does well in full sun
as well as in half shade. Less sensitive than L. canadense. |
|
KULTURHINWEISE: Benötigt einen
sauren, humosen Boden mit ausreichend Feuchtigkeit während des
Wachstums; gedeiht in Sonne und im Halbschatten. Weniger empfindlich als
L. canadense. |
